Sea Grant is a partnership between the State University of New York and Cornell University.  Sea Grant Extension activities are carried out as part of Cornell Cooperative Extension.

 

Funds for the work come from the two universities, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

 

Sea Grant Colleges assist those using our Great Lakes and marine resources ( including tidal estuaries, such as the Hudson River) just as Land Grant colleges assist those using land resources.

 

Nordica Holochuck is the Sea Grant Extension educator in the Hudson River Valley Region. She assists HVMTA, HRBYCA and other recreational boating groups regarding Hudson River Estuary Stewardship issues.
